Join the School of Music, Dance and Theatre for the 11th Bösendorfer and Yamaha USASU International Piano Competitions!

These competitions are dedicated to the discovery and encouragement of young artists who possess their personal voice of interpretation in harmony with the legacy of great artists of the past. Hosted at the beautiful Arizona State University campus in the Grand Canyon State, the competitions are committed to promoting outstanding artists and providing them with the solo and orchestral performance opportunities they deserve. 

All events and competitions are ticketed except where noted.

Ticket sales will be live in early December 2024.

Daily/Weekly Passes

Separate daily pass tickets are required for each day of competition attendance unless you purchase a week pass. Use the shopping cart feature to purchase daily passes for 2-4 separate dates or select the Week Pass option if attending all 5 days. The Winners Recital on Sunday requires a separate ticket from either the week or daily pass.

Prices 

General Admission: $18/day or $80/week 
Eligible ASU Herberger Institute Faculty/Staff: Enter your 10-digit ASU ID number as a promo code at checkout for up to two complimentary tickets.

Student: $10/day or $45/week

All ticket sales are ONLINE ONLY or by calling Purplepass directly. There will be no in-person sales at the event, purchase tickets in advance. Guests who do not have a ticket at the door will be directed to purchase them online or by calling Purplepass. Additional fees apply to every purchase.

Daily competition passes are $18 for general admission and $10 for students.  Passes for the week are $80 for general admission and $45 for students.

Event Parking

Parking for the competition events is available at Parking lot #3 and on Gammage Parkway (ASU Gammage).

Short-Term Parking Options:

Meters are located along Gammage Parkway adjacent the Music building for $3.00 per hour, up to $15 per day. Payment is by Visa or MasterCard only at the Pay station or on the Parkmobile app and require license plate number.
 


Meters are also available in Lot 3 Gammage for visitor parking for $3 per hour, up to $15 per day. Payment is by Visa or MasterCard only at the Pay station or on the Parkmobile app and require license plate number.
 


Metered parking  can be easily managed and renewed with a smart phone through the Parkmobile app. For more information, please visit  ASU parking.


Long Term Parking:

Guest parking at ASU lot 3 (Gammage) for the full competition week, January 3-8, 2023, can be purchased for a $60 permit fee.

Please contact ASU Parking Services and mention you want to purchase a permit for the “USASU International Piano Competition”. The permits will be sold individually to customers at Parking & Transit Service Customer Service Office, Monday-Friday 8-4. The office is on the 1st floor of University Towers, 525 S. Forest Ave #105, Tempe AZ 85281.
